We are looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our marketing team.

The right person for this role will have a passion for generating and nurturing qualified sales leads for clients looking for digital marketing services. They are a strong communicator and team player who is passionate about learning and growing their sales experience. Preference will be given to applicants with at least 2 years of sales development experience. Industry experience in a marketing agency is essential.

About You:

You have a friendly and outgoing personality, are an excellent communicator, proficient on the phone, with a keyboard, and are comfortable setting up meetings and pitching to potential clients.

Your background is in sales with experience in digital marketing sales at an agency. You have the drive and desire to continue to develop your skills in a professional environment. You work well both in a team and independently, are open to feedback, have strong organization skills, and have keen attention to detail.

You have experience using LinkedIn for lead generation, are comfortable talking on the phone and nurturing leads, have a strong understanding of business processes, roles, and corporate structure and the ability to leverage this into scheduling quality sales calls.

You have a willingness to learn and come with a coachable and professional attitude.

The right person for this role has the following must-haves:

  • 2+ years of sales experience at a marketing agency.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Functional knowledge of LinkedIn
  • Understanding of business processes, roles, and corporate structure.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.

The following attributes would be assets for this role:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a business-related program.
  • Experience and/or education in sales, sales development, operations and/or digital marketing is considered an asset.
  • Experience using organization and communication tools like Asana, Slack, Confluence or Basecamp.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to working within a variety of CRM’s.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use a “research” based sales approach, breaking the mold from classic selling tactics.
  • Begin the qualification and engagement processes, following our proven methods.
  • Work directly with our President, developing the sales pipeline.
  • Execute on follow-up campaigns to engage pre-existing leads.
  • Achieve monthly quotas, sourcing qualified leads and setting appointments.
