Vancouver Web Design Firm Battles Browser Incompatibility with BrowserShots.org

Have you ever visited a site using Internet Explorer and later finding out the same site looks different in Firefox or Chrome?
I have – many times. Unfortunately, this is a common issue across this rapidly developing industry.
One of the current challenges for web designers out there, either in Vancouver, Toronto, Canada, or anywhere else for that matter, is browser compatibility. Different browsers can sometimes display the same website differently.
When this browser incompatibility happens, it is typical to see images in the wrong places, bigger/smaller headers, or out of place columns among other issues.
I want to bring this up because some of our clients are comfortable doing their own web design for smaller sites to service some part of their business, hobbies or personal interests.
Fortunately, there is a free online tool out there that allows you to check for these disparities. BrowserShots.org lets you submit your URL and see snapshots of most available browsers including IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc. running on Linux, Mac OS, and Windows operating systems.
