According to the results of a poll conducted by U.S.-based Citigroup of 500 small businesses with less than 100 employees this past August, 42% of the companies indicated that they have placed greater emphasis on their company websites to generate more leads and sales. Even in an economic slowdown, business owners are relying more on their online presence to generate lead flow and greater sales opportunities.
